Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the newly formed Employee and Organizational Development (EOD) Centre of Excellence team as an Employee and Organizational Development Senior Advisor located in Fredericton. The EOD Centre of Excellence team ensures that employees and people leaders have the skills and capabilities they need to be successful in achieving the desired strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new team in a challenging and rewarding HR field.

As a member of this newly formed team, the successful candidate will provide client focused and integrated advice and services in the areas of talent management, employee development, performance management, leadership development, and employee workplace engagement, in addition to other HR support services.  Key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Developing, implementing and facilitating formal and informal training programs and initiatives to support leadership and organizational development across GNB.
  • Consulting with departmental stakeholders and external vendors to: conduct needs analysis and planning; compile and synthesize learning needs; research best practices, trends, tools and guidelines to support adult learning strategies, identify and evaluate various learning options; provide in-depth diagnostics and assessments of program outcomes and learning needs; and provide strategic advice and planning on a variety of learning and development matters.
  • Providing senior level advice and consulting expertise to departments for their own development, design and delivery of initiatives that support corporate learning priorities.
  • Facilitating dynamic classroom sessions and discussions enabling positive outcomes.
  • Planning and leading projects and providing direction to project team members.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.  A minimum of five (5) years related experience in the areas of HR program/curriculum development, leadership development, training delivery, talent management, facilitation, consultation, and coaching.  An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate the following asset qualifications:

  • Human resource strategic workforce planning experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Change management experience.
  • Succession management planning experience.
  • The Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR).

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel throughout the province is required, and candidates must possess a valid driver's license.

Salary : $54,574- $76,232 annually – Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
