Kings Landing Corporation is seeking an individual to join the Visitor Experience team as an Exhibit Interpreter.  The work term is from June 8th to October 14th, 2019 with a training term of up to 2 weeks starting on May 29th.

Reporting to the Exhibit Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to augment the guest experience by providing an engaging and positive experience to visitors. They will provide interpretive services to Kings Landing's visitors through exhibit interpretation, interactive guided tours and one-on-one interactions with visitors through third-person delivery.

The role requires an individual that is excellent at communicating with guests, that possesses excellent time management skills and is efficient at working in a team. The Exhibit Interpreter has a passion for history and public presentation.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma;
  • Experience in working with the public;
  • Must be eligible for the Young Canada Works program.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:  Preference may be given to candidates that possess:

  • Previous employment at a history museum or similar public institution performing similar tasks.

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualification in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

The following operational requirements are also required: 

  • Working on weekends and holidays;
  • Wearing the assigned costume.

SALARY:   $11.50 to $13.87$ per hour (based on qualifications)
