Who are you?

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, planning and production, sponsorship program development or equivalent professional experience. Experience in marketing and advertising is considered an asset.
  • You have a post-secondary degree or diploma preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications or Event Management and Planning **An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.**
  • You are results oriented with strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize deliverables.
  • You have a passion for New Brunswick and want to move the dial in creating experiences that promote the great things that are happening in the province.
  • You are energetic, outgoing, and driven, and are recognized for your bold ideas, innovative solutions and creative problem solving.
  • You are at your best when you are challenged, calm under pressure and thrive when working on multiple projects within tight deadlines. 
  • As an effective communicator, you are adept at developing and presenting concepts, plans, and results. 
  • You work well in a team with the ability to lead a working group and delegate tasks.
  • You recognize the value of building and nurturing working relationships. You enjoy collaborating with others on projects or working independently.
  • You value recognition, giving back to the community and camaraderie with your colleagues. 

As a Sponsorship and Event Specialist, you will:

  • Report to the Team Lead, Corporate Marketing.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of events, including budgeting, monitoring event timelines, on-site event management, and pre- and post-event activities such as sponsorships, collateral development, and evaluations.
  • Develop long and short-term goals for events, including structure and design, and planning and logistics.
  • Assist with creating and implementing social media content/strategies for individual events.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with vendors, sponsors, outside organizations, volunteer committees, and/or other persons to implement successful events.
  • Execute and optimize ONB's sponsorship strategy to align with business goals and achieve brand recognition.
  • Review and document all incoming sponsorship requests, manage and maximize sponsorship fulfillment, and monitor outcomes.
  • Serve as the liaison between ONB and sponsored events.
  • Monitor the sponsorship budget and report on it regularly.
  • Manage all sponsor contracts and invoicing, including keeping detailed records.
  • Evaluate all ONB sponsorships to demonstrate the tangible impact of each investment.

Language:
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Written and spoken competence in French is considered an asset. Please state your language capability. 

Location and Hours:
This position will be located in Fredericton, occasional travel and work beyond regular business hours (8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). A valid driver's licence is required.
