We invite you to join the Kings Landing team! Kings Landing's mission is to attract, engage, enrich, and educate the people of New Brunswick and visitors by showcasing the well-researched adaptation of people who lived along the St. John River Valley in the 19th century.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Business Development and Marketing Manager, you will coordinate social media, execute digital marketing campaigns, and process group bookings.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate daily social media content across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram) including planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing posts
- Capture photo and video content during events and daily operations for use in digital marketing
- Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments and messages, and foster online community building
- Update and maintain the Kings Landing website using WordPress, including adding new content, updating events, and ensuring information accuracy
- Deliver email marketing campaigns in both official languages through Mailchimp
- Track social media analytics and provide regular performance reports
- Receive booking inquiries and reservations for programs, group experiences, and facility rentals
- Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Process booking confirmations and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain accurate booking records and client databases
- Assist with the production and distribution of marketing materials and promotional content
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns for the general season and special events
- Coordinate with external vendors, media contacts, and tourism partners as needed
- Provide general administrative support to the Communications and Marketing department
- Perform related work as required
Who you are:
You are detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong digital marketing and customer service skills. You have experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content, along with proficiency in a variety of software. You communicate effectively in writing and in person, delivering excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities. You work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members across departments. You bring creativity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a genuine interest in heritage tourism and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality and Tourism, Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a related field or program
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in marketing, communications, customer service, or tourism
- Full Class 5 Driver's License as issued by the province of New Brunswick
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the tourism and hospitality industry
- Experience engaging, negotiating, and resolving issues with the public
- Experience in online and digital platforms like Meta, FareHarbor, MailChimp, WordPress, Google Analytics/My Business
- Experience with Canva or Adobe CS

Wage:
Management and Non-Union Payband 3: $2,047 to $2,860 biweekly
Work environment:
- Office location: Kings Landing, Prince William, NB
- Standard hours of work: Evenings, weekends, and variable hours may be required
- Some travel within the province is required
- A hybrid work arrangement may be considered
