The New Brunswick Housing Corporation (NBHC) is seeking an individual to join the Housing team as a Provincial Consultant - Rental Portfolio. This position reports to the Central Office in Fredericton, NB; however, the successful candidate may reside anywhere within the province and will be required to report into the Central Office as needed. NBHC is focused on working with all levels of government, community groups, organizations, and the private sector to identify and maximize housing development opportunities while providing support through a housing strategy to positively impact New Brunswickers.

As a member of the Housing NB Central Office unit, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of housing programs administered by the New Brunswick Housing Corporation.  In addition, the successful candidate will provide interpretation of guidelines, program policies, legislation and procedures.  The successful candidate is required to be involved in developing new programs and revising existing ones to achieve departmental key result areas, to lead numerous projects within the unit and to represent the unit on various internal and external committees.  The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain a provincial perspective on housing program issues and be aware of services and research developments in other jurisdictions.  This position involves establishing effective working relationships with persons both within and outside the Corporation.  Other duties may be assigned as required.

Need to have:
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration or a related discipline with at least five (5) years related experience OR a Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration or a related discipline with at least three (3) years related experience.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Operational Requirements:
This position requires some travel within and outside the province.  Due to the nature of the work and the requirement to travel throughout the province, a telecommuting agreement may be considered.

Wage:
Pay Band 5 - $67,600 - $94,406 annually.
